Kahapon ay nakumpleto ko na ang pagpasok sa lahat ng terminals ng NAIA pati ang suki kong domestic airport dati (na ngayon ay mapapalitan na ng terminal 3 =)). Sa kabutihang palad, nakasabay ko si Sol, officemate at isa sa mga napagbubuksan ko ng pinto sa office (peace Sol ^_^), salamat ng marami dahil sa'yo ay nabawasan ng malaki ang kaba ko sa pagpunta rito =).

We arrived in Kansai International Airport at around 7:30 last night. The plane encountered a few turbulence and I can remember the first one was right after a few minutes upon taking off. 'Yun ang isa sa mga turbulence na mapapadasal ka talaga =). I was reading Rage of Angels by Sidney Sheldon for most of the time during the flight. I slept for around 30 minutes or more and I woke up having an upper-left back pain na ikinagulat ko sapagkat bago ako natulog eh ang upper-right ang masakit dahil sa volleyball game namin noong Sabado.

Dumating kami sa hotel mga 40 minuto makalipas ang ika-siyam ng gabi. I wasn't that tired but I was so sleepy and so I rushed on fixing my clothes in the closet and went to sleep. I was planning to call my wife but I can't seem to get the dialing procedure correctly, when I checked this morning sa globe website, kulang pala ako ng # sa last hehe =).

My first impression of Japan, well, wala pa akong masabi actually. We'll know in the next few days or maybe sa weekend pa =p.

I miss my family much more by being here... *sigh

5th Year Anniversary; Kobe in 24

My wife and I are celebrating our 5 years being together today. I can still remember the day that I proposed to her. The place isn't romantic at all because we were in school waiting for our CWTS class, it was also on a Saturday. And I can also remember that when we were about to part ways, she's the only one who got to kiss me *darn. I lost that special moment. I just looked at her stunned because she doesn't normally kiss me when there are many people and I suddenly shouted in my mind, "naman hindi ko siya nakiss, sayang."

And throughout the rest of our immersion activity, I was smiling almost all the time.. ^_^

It's been two seasons since Kobe Bryant changed his jersey number to 24. Well that's not my point in this blog post. Hehehe. It's just a coincidence that these two things, Kobe and 24, are related to what I'm gonna tell.

In exactly less than 24 hours I'll be in Kobe, Japan. This will be one of the most thrilling experience of my life since I'm alone in this flight and it's my first international flight. It was only last night that it dawned how a little scary experience this can be and I thought to myself, why the heck was I so confident all this time? My wife told me that deep inside I know what to do and everything will be fine tomorrow. Well, I hope I'm right. I should be more scared of the work that's waiting for me there but I hope I still can enjoy the trip. =)

Bambam

I had a great short vacation last week with my family. It's been more than 3 months since I last saw my wife and my son. To my surprise, my son has learned a lot of things I didn't imagine he can learn.

There's just a long list of things that he already knows. Kung meron siyang gusto or may bagay na nagpapamangha sa kanya ay tinuturo niya kaagad sabay sambit ng tunog na "uhm? or uhm!" Alam na niyang manghingi ng pagkain sa kahit sino kahit na kakatapos pa lang niyang kumain. Hindi rin siya mapili sa pagkain. Mahilig din siyang sumayaw kapag nakakarinig ng mga kantang pangsayaw.

One thing that strikes me most is his comprehension. You can tell and teach him things and he easily understands them, siyempre yung madadaling concepts lang. My wife is even bothered when I was teaching him how to turn the doorknob. Hehehe. Lumaki lang konti ang kamay niya at lumakas ng konti ay kaya na niyang bumukas ng pinto.

He runs so much, plays a lot, and talks a lot. Siya nga ang pinakamaingay sa bahay dahil marami siyang sinasabi kapag nasa mood or kapag hindi nanonood ng tv. Mahilig din siyang mamasyal at mahilig sa mga sasakyan. Kaya nga kapag nasa sasakyan kami ng father-in-law ko ay palagi siyang nasa harapan karga ng lola niya.

One thing that stands out among the rest of his likes, are balloons and balls. He calls them "bambam." Nakakatuwa nga siya kapag nakakakita ng balloon kasi sasabihin niya ang bambam sabay turo at pupuntahan ang balloon para paglaruan to think that the only time he had played with a balloon was during his birthday last April. Nung pumunta nga kami sa toy section ng department store at nakita niya ang balloon ay parang hinihila niya ako na pumunta sa balloon at kunin yun, buti na lang at karga ko siya hehe.

Isa pang magandang ugali niya ay ang pagiging friendly. When we attended mass last Sunday, he just kept standing along the aisle and he touches every kid that he sees. He smiles to every person who looks at him. Of course, they can't help but smile back at him even if he causes a little disturbance. He's cute and what makes him cuter is his long curly eyelashes (ehem ehem ^_^) and, take note of this, his two dimples na magkatabi. Yeah, magkatabi sila, parallel with each other on the same curve of the cheek. And nung umuwi lang ako ito na-notice. It's the first time I saw two dimples na magkatabi.

There are other things worth mentioning pero sa dami ay hindi ko na maalala at baka humaba lalo tong blog post ko. I'm so overwhelmed of his growth, which only makes me miss him more. I hope he'll grow into a fine man someday.

Our team won the cheerdance competition in our sportsfest, which opened today. Yahoo!!! Kudos to Cathy and Edell for pulling it through and to all the SAP-ADSI managers who were really, really good and participative. Next year again.. ^_^

Me and 14 other Groove@HP members performed a dance number on the said event. I had some mistakes in some dances but I'm satisfied with my performance though I could have done better (darn tonsilitis I was grasping for air when the end was near). It was a great performance for all of us after more than a month of Saturday practices. I'll upload the video in multiply page once I got a copy from one of my co-dancers.

Burden

Well, it can't be helped to complain why other people keep on filling us with their problems because at some point we might become tired or annoyed especially if the same problems are repeated over and over and we keep telling them the same piece of advice. However, we must face the fact that there are certain problems that can't be solved easily and it may even be beyond the capacity of the person who's confiding to us. Nobody can tell whether it's permanent or for just a little while.

If it really gets too annoying and the person is becoming so pathetic, then you must face the problem seriously with him/her in order to take a move that can, once and for all, solve it in whatever way that is possible. The solution may not be in anyway solve the problem completely but what's more important is to ease the burden that your friend is carrying.

Product warranty; dance

My creative zen got busted yesterday and so I brought it to the store to avail the product warranty. They'll be sending it to the supplier to check it out. I hope they can fix it. That mp3 player makes my day less gloomy.

Cebu Pacific system upgrade

Cebu Pacific had its reservation system upgraded last March 31 (afternoon i think?) up to April 1 noontime. I first thought that this shouldn't cause much impact, but I was wrong. Not only did the online booking system gone haywire but also their call center. It's probably because most people who are booking online went with the phone booking way and yes siree, it caused a very negative impact. I called their hotline (7020888) on April 1 @ 2pm and the number is busy. I called again 4x that hour, and still the number is busy. I was able to connect at around 3:45pm and the automated answering system greeted and told me to wait for an available CSR. Time went by, 20 minutes, 30 minutes. I hung up. This is the first time for Cebu Pacific's service to suck big time. I can book a flight in less than 10 minutes before and the lead time for connecting to a CSR is less than 2 or 3 minutes.

I was able to successfully booked my aunt's flight yesterday afternoon, this time it took 10 minutes to connect to a CSR. And today I just got back from Cebu Pacific's ticket office in Galleria. I got my number at 11am. Went back at 1pm. And was able to pay at 5:30pm. It's all due to that system upgrade.

As an experienced developer, I can imagine the pain those people behind the upgrade is sufferring. But, they should have made a contingency plan for this. Upgrade is beneficial in the long run but the negative impact it can cause during its deployment cannot be ignored, especially if its a critical system.

I hope Cebu Pacific can learn from this experience. I prefer their rates compared to other airlines. Their online booking system prior to the upgrade is better than others too, personally.

Serious one:

Life is like dancing. The different stages/trials that we face are the genres like pop, hiphop/street, tango, swing, boogie, folk, etc. We must keep up with what life can present to us just as we have specific dance steps and tempo for these different genres. We must have a flexible attitude if we want to get through life just like a dancer who must have a flexible body if he wants to dance various genres. We can't succeed all the time because our attitudes can't accommodate all unexpected situations like a hiphop dancer who can't do broadway or folk dance.

However, there are also circumstances that can get us through it all if we only have the guts, and these are those moments that we are able to push through our limits just like a dancer who keeps on slipping or missing a step during practice and was able to pull it off during the performance. Like learning a dance, we must prepare the steps and follow it if we want to accomplish a goal in life. There are times that the steps need to be changed or adjusted. There are also times when we need to change a goal, in order to pursue a higher level or because circumstances doesn't allow us to do so. It's similar to a dancer who needs to change the song because the theme for the program suddenly changes and it doesn't fit what he chose before.

In dancing, the dancer must enjoy the music, feel the fluidity of the body's movement, utilize the adrenaline rush, and inspire the audience because this is what dancing is all about. In life, we must enjoy each day of it, even if it is filled with unfortunate events. We must experience the growth and progress of ourselves especially in pursuit of our goals. Lastly, we must exert all our effort, defy all odds, push ourselves beyond our limits because our audience is God.

LAN Cable

It was our team's quarterly coffee talk yesterday. We were asked to bring a meaningful object that should tell an interesting story about us, our past, present, or future. Some showed mushy stuffs that really touched our hearts, while others presented simple yet very deep(philosophical actually) insights about themselves.

For myself, I presented a LAN cable. At first glance, it might seem to be one of those simple-yet-deep ones (I realized this when I was already standing to present it, haha!), however it's not under that category. The LAN cable reminds me of the Cisco Networking Challenge 2005 that my wife (my gf back then) and I competed into. For the hands-on round(final round), we were given a complicated network to setup. My wife did the crimping part of the LAN cables while I did the connection between the switches and routers using the LAN cable she made. She also took the task of subnetting the networks, finding out the range of IP addresses for each subnet, etc. while I took the computer seat to configure the workstations, switches and routers. With great effort and hard work, we were able to win it.

Well, the LAN cable primarily reminds me of my wife in so many ways. The way she twists and arranges the wires, the way she crimps with much force, and how delicate she cuts the rubber coat protecting the wires reminds me of how much she consistently and delicately ensures her work to have a perfect touch. I really admire her for this and how I wish I can be as consistent as her.

Darn, now I'm missing her more and more *sigh...

the real test

the real test of faith, hope, and love is time. time can test even the strongest of faiths. it can crush hopes and dreams. it can fade away love. but it is also through time that these things become more and more manifested. and my test is just starting...

I never felt this down in my life. It's like during the time when my Daddy died. I may know where I want to go, I may have plans unlike then but I'm confused more than ever. The sadness I feel reaches beyond my nerves, beyond the depths of my soul. I have a couple of choices, yet, there seems to be only one probable choice. I want time to run very, very fast so that I may be in the future instead of being here today, at this very moment. Every strength, every inspiration, every single drop of enthusiasm is being consumed by this heavy feeling each day as I wake up and sleep. I know what I want, I believe it can be done, and it will be done, but, this pain just wouldn't fade away.

and my birthday is just around the corner. how many birthdays will I celebrate before this pain will stop? God knows.

So many to learn, so little time, and a struggling body.

I love learning new things. I love studying. My only gripe is that my body is starting to struggle keeping up with so many things to learn. And not only that, I don't have much time of doing these things unlike before during my college years. I really need to find time for these things because these are so important for my growth. And I'll do what it takes for my body to keep up. Well, that shouldn't be too hard. I can be as active as I can be just like the old days. I'm still young, I can definitely do it.

sick

I'm sick for two days but at least today there's no more fever. I went in the office yesterday by 7am only to go back home by 8:45am. My fever lasted for around 2 hours. My whole body cried in pain, my eyes can't focus, my head felt like a smashed pumpkin. It was really awful. Good thing my body responded to the Decolgen I took (thanks to my Aunt Heling). I got home by around 9:50 and went to sleep after taking the medicine. I woke up with no more body pain. I just felt so dizzy and weak.

It's been a while since I got a fever. Twice for the past two years. My college years were the most amazing, no fever for four years. Just a couple of cough and colds in a year. hehe.

It's my dream to reach 100WPM(words per minute) in my lifetime. I started practicing to type fast back in high school when we had our typing class (using the typewriter). When I reached college, I then knew that my speed was 41WPM. During my junior and senior year, I was able to reach 70+WPM and 86WPM. And now all my efforts are finally paying off. I was able to reach a net speed of 96WPM and a gross speed of 99WPM a while ago. Though I didn't reach 100, still I knew that I can reach it more realistically now compared 3 or 2 years ago.

feeling a whole lot better

I feel a whole lot better now. It is surely good to have a balanced mind and heart, but it's pretty hard to do it constantly. I for myself made my own rule on this, "don't let your emotion reach your head and don't let your mind eat up your heart." However, it was my first time yesterday that my emotion conquered everything in me. My mind was fighting back, but it was in vain. It was one of the so-few times that I lose my calmness (and coolness). I won't say that it's the end of it, that would be saying I'm perfect.

right now, everything is fine. my fiance finally got the job that she wants and she's already on her 2nd day. my baby is well and healthy in Kidapawan. everything really is fine, except for one thing. it's raining outside. i just hope a flood won't happen again along our street in Meycauayan.

Lala

This is my favorite local chocolate, "Lala," made from Guiguinto, Bulacan (I'm living in Meycauayan, Bulacan by the way). It's been my favorite ever since grade 1. I love its sweetness, one that won't get you satiated yet will make you ask for more. And it's cheap! It only costs P5 (before it was selling at around P3.45).

We were still in Pasay City when I first tried this one. When we moved in Digos City, Davao del Sur, I never got the chance to eat one until we moved in Davao City. I was surprised to find this chocolate at the supermarket of NCCC mall and I was so happy to enjoy its natural sweetness once again. Now being in Meycauayan really helps a lot. My cousin would buy me twenty of this chocolate whenever they go to the market.

Try this one. I'm sure gonna love it. ^_^

My cousin and I applied for a SmartBro connection last Sunday and whoah! We got connected the next day, Monday afternoon. That sure was fast. I'm glad the connection is stable because I hear and read a lot of bad feedbacks of their service. Downloading averages 45+kbps.

I was a little upset thought that Globelines(offering a wired, data only 1.5mbps connection for P995) and even PLDT's DSL is not available in our area in Bulacan.

I hope next year those two big ISPs can provide services in our area. Just in time for the lock-in period to expire. ^_^

Emptiness; Training.

It's been a while since i last posted here. From then on I had so much emptiness inside me. I miss my fiance and my son so much that I just can't bear it. No matter how busy I can be at home or at work, I find myself to be empty again.

Saying the wrong words

I used to say things that hurt other people without the intention of doing so. My intention is to make the person smile but its effect is the opposite. Oftentimes I forget to consider the situation of the person whom I am talking to and in return it turns out that the words I used are not appropriate to say to him/her. Until now I still have that habit no matter how I carefully think about words to say... *sigh

Pain

It is really painful to be away from the ones you love. I never had good mornings again since I've been away from them: my fiance and son. I always have this heavy feeling. It's like a piece of me is missing. A piece that keeps me complete, makes my day bright, makes all the rainy days go away.

I finally got what I deserve for all my actions before. Yet, this won't make me go down. I never like the feeling of giving up. I hate losing, but I detest giving up. I'd rather lose while giving all I got and getting hurt in return than acquiring no bruises because of turning back. I just don't like this feeling of incompleteness.

Someday, this will end... Someday.

a happy weekend

I went to Cebu last Friday night and it was really frustrating because of my delayed flight (from 9:10 to 9:50pm). Add to it my unfortunate arrival because of no taxis available geez. But the frustrations ended there. Upon seeing my gloomy face turned to a smiley face like this one =) hehehe.

It was really a happy weekend. I bought my fiance a pair of eyeglasses because it was my fault that hers got broken before (clumsiness). we ate at our favorite resto in cebu, AA's BBQ, yum yum on Saturday night after watching harry potter at SM City Cebu. On Sunday, we played at timezone like used to. Collected some tickets, as usual, and played a lot more.

Now I'm looking forward to seeing her again on August. By then, we'll be having our trip to Davao (she's going back home in Kidapawan) and have ourselves register for our marriage on December.

*sigh... How I wish I can live with her and our child. My goal for now is to make that dream come true within 2-3 years. Gosh, I wonder if I can survive the emotional pain that long.

Three Strings

On Nov. 18, 1995, Itzhak Perlman, the violinist, came on stage
to give a concert at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center in New
York City. If you have ever been to a Perlman concert, you know
that getting on stage is no small achievement for him. He was
stricken with polio as a child, and so he has braces on both
legs and walks with the aid of two crutches. To see him walk
across the stage one step at a time, painfully and slowly, is an
awesome sight.

He walks painfully, yet majestically, until he reaches his
chair. Then he sits down, slowly, puts his crutches on the
floor, undoes the clasps on his legs, tucks one foot back and
extends the other foot forward. Then he bends down and picks up
the violin, puts it under his chin, nods to the conductor and
proceeds to play.

By now, the audience is used to this ritual. They sit quietly
while he makes his way across the stage to his chair. They
remain reverently silent while he undoes the clasps on his legs.
They wait until he is ready to play.

But this time, something went wrong. Just as he finished the
first few bars, one of the strings on his violin broke. You
could hear it snap - it went off like gunfire across the room.
There was no mistaking what that sound meant. There was no
mistaking what he had to do. We figured that he would have to
get up, put on the clasps again, pick up the crutches and limp
his way off stage - to either find another violin or else find
another string for this one. But he didn't. Instead, he waited
a moment, closed his eyes and then signaled the conductor to
begin again.

The orchestra began, and he played from where he had left off.
And he played with such passion and such power and such purity
as they had never heard before.

Of course, anyone knows that it is impossible to play a
symphonic work with just three strings. I know that, and you
know that, but that night Itzhak Perlman refused to know that.

You could see him modulating, changing, re-composing the piece
in his head. At one point, it sounded like he was de-tuning the
strings to get new sounds from them that they had never made
before.

When he finished, there was an awesome silence in the room. And
then people rose and cheered. There was an extraordinary
outburst of applause from every corner of the auditorium. We
were all on our feet, screaming and cheering, doing everything
we could to show how much we appreciated what he had done.

He smiled, wiped the sweat from this brow, raised his bow to
quiet us, and then he said - not boastfully, but in a quiet,
pensive, reverent tone - "You know, sometimes it is the artist's
task to find out how much music you can still make with what you
have left."

What a powerful line that is. It has stayed in my mind ever
since I heard it. And who knows? Perhaps that is the
definition of life - not just for artists but for all of us.

Here is a man who has prepared all his life to make music on a
violin of four strings, who, all of a sudden, in the middle of a
concert, finds himself with only three strings; so he makes
music with three strings, and the music he made that night with
just three strings was more beautiful, more sacred, more
memorable, than any that he had ever made before, when he had
four strings.

So, perhaps our task in this shaky, fast-changing, bewildering
world in which we live is to make music, at first with all that
we have, and then, when that is no longer possible, to make
music with what we have left.

This is so true. Being able to do something with what we have left and even surpassing those times when we have much is quite a fulfillment. It's a manifestation of a true and deep understanding of a discipline, no need for the usual things but only our passion for it.

one of those days

today's my unluckiest day for the past two months... *sigh

a barely gadget addict

i got addicted into so many things (not drugs nor alcoholic drinks) since i was a kid. but i never really got so much addiction like some guys out there. i was hooked into dragon ball z, ghost fighter and G.I. Joe playing cards but i eventually stop in a short time. i was also into collecting and playing marbles with my classmates but i never filled tens of jars of it. when counterstrike came, i was only able to play on Saturdays and not even as consistently as my classmates do.

now as a young adult, i am addicted to gadgets, but just barely. barely because i like to have the latest gadget (as long as it is useful and has added features compared to what i already have) but i'm not actually buying any of it. if i have money, I'd still be hesitant just like all those years when i got addicted to various things. because i always think of other important things that i can buy with the money and i feel that it is unreasonable at all. if it's really reasonable and very useful for me and something that would help me become efficient, then i would definitely buy it... but for now, I'm a gadget addict who doesn't want to buy but eager to know the latest gadgets, its features and technologies that are new and just wishfully thinking that i can have one.

someday, when i have enough money i will buy myself one of those gadgets that i crave so much.

when will i ever learn

i still have a bad trait that i still wasn't able to get rid of... *sigh... when will i ever learn... this affects much of my relationship to my fiance. i don't mean on doing it but it happens naturally... how i hate myself for it... *sigh...

this is really an awful week, which is made even worse by my unending cough... T_T

i still have cough. it has reached the stage which is really annoying, dry and irritating cough. this kind of cough always make me have sleepless nights more often when i was kid.

unlucky day

i had one of the most unluckiest days of my life yesterday. i was about to go to SM City Marilao through my cousin's motorcycle to save fare, but unfortunately he had it fixed in the shop. Then i got the chance to use my cousin's (other cousin) bike. after biking a few meters and switching the gear (it's a mountain bike), the gears at the rear wheel jammed with the chain. and that ends my fare-free trip to SM. haha! so i resorted to commute which costs even higher than a trip to Monumento (P35 to SM; P22 to Monumento).

when i got to SM, i went directly to a metrobank ATM to withdraw and alas it can't dispense cash and so i had to withdraw to other bank's ATM which will cost P10.

well, yesterday was not that terrible actually if you come to think of it. but i never thought i can get so many unlucky events consecutively...

what it means to be happy...

It's not like me to post ideas from my heart like this. hehe. anyway, just keep on reading....

people have a lot of sources for their happiness. for most people, their happiness come from having their dreams and wishes come true (who doesn't? right?). for students, when they're able to get good grades in their subjects. for working people, when they're promoted and given a raise. for parents, when their children are healthy and have a healthy family relationship. you see, there are a lot of things that can make a person happy. each reason is part of their heart's desires.

as for me, to be happy means to have God always by my side and be able to talk to Him about anything that i want to. when God is with me, i know that there are lot of things that can make me happy(about family, friends, work, etc.). and there's nothing more that i could ask for. it all seems like a one big package right? hehe.. that's why each day let's not just pray about how to handle our financial problems, how to get our jobs done, etc. but, we should rather pray first that God be with us throughout the day for without Him it would be a really, really tough day...

it's so sad when no one believes what you're saying. but the saddest part of all is when the one who doesn't believe what you speak is the only one you can freely talk to with anything under the sun with no pretentions. you'd rather have only him/her believe what you say than have all the others believe you while he/she doesn't... *sigh

it makes you wonder how you'll get him/her to believe what you say...

it's been a long time; fiancee

hi! it's been a long time since i last blog. It'll be a month this coming saturday since i start working at HP (SMPC site). and after a month, i miss my girlfriend so much.. let me correct that part, i miss my fiancee so much.. yep, you read it right. she's now my fiancee. we'll be getting married this December at her hometown, Kidapawan City. hopefully we can take care of things (esp. financial matters) in due time.

it's our offsite tomorrow at Grande Island, Subic Bay. though it would be fun, i know it wouldn't make me happy completely because of how much i miss my fiancee... *sigh... it's so hard to be away from someone who completes your day, who restores your mind and heart during hard times and who loves you unconditionally...

the first day at SMPC

It was really a fun day during our first day at SMPC. We, the new hires in our batch, had our onboarding (again) for the Application Services peeps. It was great to hear the welcome messages of the managers, which inspired us to work very hard for being part of the world's #1 IT company.

However, the afternoon was really a downer. We had nothing to do because our laptops have not yet arrived and we have no place to take a seat, literally. Hehe. Hopefully, the two additional floors for HP at SMPC will be available by June.

SAP training starts on monday. Weeeee!!! see 'ya!

Missing someone

I'm now in my aunt's place in Bulacan. I've been here since April 24, 2007. I'll be starting at HP on May 2, 2007. Bulacan is quite far from Manila and the good thing is that I enjoy the travel a lot. Hopefully, things will turn out fine with my first week at HP.

It is really tough to be away from the one you love. It is even tougher when you're used to being together for almost all the time, even at work. *sigh... I really, really miss my girlfriend. I wanna be with her everyday, but it's not possible. We'll just wait patiently for the time that we'll live together under the same roof and be officially called husband and wife ^_^.

that's all for now... I hope I'll be able to apply for an internet connection at my aunt's house. I'm blogging and surfing at an internet cafe right now. see 'ya! ^_^

last 3 days

Tomorrow will mark my last 3 days at NCR Cebu Development Center, Inc. It's so sad to leave because I have grown to enjoy and love the people here and my work as well.

Still need to work on the pre-employment requirements though, I hope there won't be problems processing them. I really didn't expect that I'll have the chance working at HP. I never tried submitting a resume online at their job site. I had my eyes at other companies and HP was one of them, it's just that it is one of the difficult companies that I can join into. I just got lucky. Really, lucky.

This move will make a lot of adjustment in my part the no. 1 I will have a quarterly visit (and on special occasions also) to my girlfriend here in cebu and the tedious travel to work from way back in bulacan. well, I love long travels and all I have in mind now is, this will be a lot of fun... ^_^

Seeing a plane while on a plane

It was my first time to see a plane flying through the clouds last saturday while I was on my flight back to Cebu from Manila. The plane was really fast compared of course when you see a plane while on the ground.

I'm expecting to receive a letter for the next few weeks for something that will change a part of my career. I hope I can receive it soon.

Manga #1: Touch

Synopsis from Baka-Updates Manga:

Touch is a shounen story about two twin brothers, a pretty girl next door, and that good old pastime of baseball. The manga was written by one of the most well known manga-ka out there, Adachi Mitsuru in the early 80's (1981-1986). He's a wonderful writer who tends to write stories that are related to baseball and Koshien, the stadium where the All High School Baseball Tournament is held.

This is one of the best sports mangas that I'm reading because of the subtle comedies that really makes me laugh. The story is quite realistic compared to some sports manga like Prince of Tennis (which I will feature next time). This is also one sports manga that has brought me to tears because of one event that happened in the story.

I also like the love triangle story that evolves between the twins and their childhood girl friend. It is filled with thrilling moments that will excite every romantic reader ^_^. I highly recommend this to all manga readers who like baseball, high school baseball in particular, and love stories.

This manga is 26 volumes long. It is scanlated by Adachi-Manga group currently at vol. 22 chap. 215. Chap. 216 is expected to be released this week (hopefully ^_^).

a nerve-wracking internet connection

our internet connection here in the office is really awful for this past one and a half week. i hope the connection will get better for the rest of the week.

anyway, I'll posting reviews of the mangas I've been reading and have completely read. if you're a manga/anime fan, be sure to check it out.

about TOCA Race Driver 3, I still can't make a decent review up to this point because i wanted to unlock most if not all the championships/cups in the game. a racing wheel is a recommended controller for this game, but a gamepad (which is what I'm using) will do just fine for most of the cars, but will give you a lot of trouble for handling other cars.
